New wheels, DIC display
So I got new wheels today and they don't have tire pressure monitors in them. So now whenever I get in the car it give me some message about the tire sensors not working correctly. Is there a way to turn off the tire sensor function so I don't get this message everytime I drive the car. I'm sure it will get annoying if I can't turn it off.

For model years 1997 through 2000, the TPM system cannot be disabled. For model years 2001 through 2004 the TPM system can be disabled by the dealer's service department or someone with a Tech II scan tool. However, my understanding is that more and more dealers are becoming reluctant to do this calling it safety related.
NOTE: The TPM system changed in model year 2001 with the introduction of the Z06 which did not have the TPM system installed from the factory.
