Default Overheating...

I have a problem with my car.....every so often (once or twice a year), my water temps and oil temps rise to astronomical levels. 250+!!!! It doesn't do this often and happens when I am in traffic. Once the car hits the open road, the temps come back to normal. What should I look at? Should I flush the coolant system? Do I need to add water to it? Thanks in advance

Start by cleaning your A/C condenser and radiator, which is aft of the A/C condenser. Pull the top cover and carefully blow out the fins with an air gun that has a long snout. You'd be amazed at the amount of junk that collects there.

You might also want to upgrade the radiator

If you go to Home Depot and ask for a dryer vent brush it is less than $5 and does a great job....its real long and skinny works great
