My A/C is blowing cold air when sitting still, but when moving, it blows nuetral to warm air. It's like 90 out. Has anybody else had this problem? Is there a vent door that might be stuck open somewhere? Please help. It's hot here in Florida.
Does it blow warm air when you drive? It could be the compressor. Is the air cold at idle? How about if you increase the RPM's. I have seen the compressors blow cold and then warm. The seals go bad. This is just one poss. cause.
Yes. It does blow cold when increasing RPM's only when sitting still. Once I start driving down the street it blows nuetral to warm. That's why I think there must be a vent stuck open.
could be, but I think you would still feel some of the cold air mixed with the outside air. Did you inspect the compressor, see any oil or any signs of leaks? There are so many things that can go wrong with the A/C. You might have to bring it in to a A/C shop.

Just for giggles take a look up inside the the radiator to make sure you don't have something blocking the condensor. A piece of paper could block air flow and the result would be just what you are claiming. Otherwise I would say it's a low charge issue.

One more thing, check your battery to make sure it's not leaking acid. If it is, it probably ate through your vacuum line that supplies your HVAC. That line is located directly below your battery (in addition to your PCM and wiring harness!)

I'll have to check that tomorrow when it gets light. Thanks. I also noticed that the amount of air drops when I'm moving. Is that normal?

Could it be it's switching to fresh air mode, from recirculate? The fan speed might be running at the same speed, but might sound quieter when it switches to freshair mode. Just a thought. If that's the case, you might want to check that vacuum tube under the battery, especially if there aren't any codes.
No. You can put your hand in front of the vent and tell that the amount of air changes. Also you can feel a little cold air getting through. It just seems to be overcome by warm air. And I don't meen that it feels like the heater is on.
