Patience is the most important thing, you will swear that they will not fit, I assure you they will go in. Remove the alternator, steering linkage, (don't turn the wheel) plugs, wires, be careful of or remove the coolant sensor, pull the vacuum line from the brake booster. I found that un-bolting the motor mounts from UNDER THE CAR gives you a bit more room. You will have to jack up or pry over with a 2x4 the engine so the headers can drop in. It sounds like a PITA but it's really not bad at all.

Bob... do I HAVE to jack the motor or will they fit w/ some fanagaling?

I didn't install mine... I had them put in when the heads were off for the re-ring in '04 (no brainer).

Now I'm going to pull them to have the air tubes cut off and have them ceramic coated. I blew an air tube off at VIR so out they come.

Oh... do I pull them up out the top or down through the bottom?

Any tips on doing this? I don't want to fudge anything.

I'm guessing a board on the oil pan then slowly jack w/ my racing floor jack?

That's how I did mine when I had the Kooks. Remember one side of the motor at a time, you actually want the motor to sort of lean over.
