What Keyless Remote Works???
Hello... I only received 1 remote with my 2000 HT and am looking (primarily on E-Bay) to purchase another one. I have heard conflicting stories on what model remote works on what year. I know GM stopped the passive system in 2000, but I am wondering what serial#'s will work on the 2000... The dealer said '98 - 2000 will work. That maybe true but it doesn't seem right to me because the '98 & '99 (I think) have the passive system as well. Anyway, I appreciate all responses. Thanks...........

The 97-00 systems all have basically the same key fob guts, it's just that the 2000 fob does not have the passive on/off switch. A 97-99 fob will work with the 2000, it's just that the passive switch will have no effect. The whole system (receiver, fobs, and tire pressure sensors) changed in 2001 at the beginning of production - shouldn't be a breakpoint issue.
