Default Weird electrical problem

Every time I hit a bump real hard, the electrical goes haywire for a
second or two! The warning lights in the dash, the needles in the gauges drop and come back up, the climate control resets. In short...
it's like the battery was disconnected for half a second or so! anyone
else experienced this? Thanks in advance!

Have you checked the battery? I hear a lot of people complaining that they find corrosion on the battery terminals or the terminals literally break off when they try to tighten them. I've never experienced either with any of the OPTIMA batteries I use.

i had similar problems....i found my short was connected to the ignitions switch ....you know when you start your car how the power to a/c radio, and fan and many other stuff goes dead while cranking...this puts all power to starter and stops any power to dash and a/c controls radio etc.....i replace the electrical switch thats connected to the ignition switch...and it has gone completely....i forgotten the part number but this was acting up for months till i was tracing it and was able to find it by moving the harness to that switch and found power shorting out to a/c controls guages and .....anyway..might look at it ...i dont know what that part is called but it required removing ignition switch and its bolted up to the back of it w/a large box of wires coming out of it. good luck

The terminals on a Optima Red Top/Yellow Top will not corrode. The terminals are made out material that will not corrode (check their web site). You don't even need battery terminal spray on the Optima battery.

I made the comment tongue in cheek. I've been using OPTIMA batteries before they were even made available to the public. Thanks.

After I got my z06 home I had experienced the same issue on a bumpy road. Noticed the neg cable was loose and tightened it. For good measure I tightened the positive and the terminal came off completely. Was the original Delco batt and no way you could see this as it was internal. New battery and cleared the codes and no issues since.

Thanks for the help guys! I will check the battery. A friend and I
recently had the battery out and my buddy reinstalled it...so I will
double check the work. Thanks again.
