brake reservoir cap
I just pressure bled my brakes. Brake fluid was really dark (had used Motul 600 5 months ago but switched to Dot 4 Valvoline Synpower this time because of moisture asorbption).
My brake fluid reservoir cap seems very loose. Should I shim it with a gasket? I would think it being loose (even with the rubber nipple in place) would allow moisture in.

try you local parts store, Help prouducts section, oem like aftermarket stuff, you can just buy the gasket, or you can buy the cap also, works from all GM, makes from at least last 10 years...B

Buy a new one. However, when I went to get one for my 03 this is what I found
03 corvette MC cap = $22.00
03 blazer MC cap = $12.00
Genaric cap at autozone = $5.00
all were the same cap

Thanks very much for the offer but I found one locally. (the factory one was really loose and I just changed the fluid). Now I understand why the fluid was so dark.
