Default Urban Legend?

HI !!
Several members know that I have had a problem with my Vette that I have been trying to get the GENERAL to absorb the cost.
I have been experiencing problems with the SERVICE ABS & SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL C1214. The ECBM needs to be replaced.

I know that serveral members of the FORUM have had the repair work done at the expense of the GENERAL regardless of the mileage.

When I mentioned this to the C/S Rep in Detroit and the service manager at the dealership where I took the car for service they said that the volume of repairs for this problem were not significant. I noticed on this forum and other corvette web sites many individuals have experience this and in some cases the General picked up the cost and in others the owner absorbed the cost. I talked to another individual at the General whio indicated that their records regarding warranty claims for this was not significant. When I mentioned that on the web there were a siginficant number of individuals who experienced this problem. I was told that the General gives the web little significance. That this claim was like an URBAN LEDGEN.

I would like to know the number of members who experienced this problem and if they paid for it or did the General.

I promise not to use any one's name. I am just interested in the number of claims.

you can e-mail with your answer fphamble@yahoo.com.

This way we will not flood this web site .

I really appreciate you help in this matter.

Thanks

FRED

From what I have seen on this site and on the net in general more people have problems from loose connections/pins in the wheel speed sensors than the actual ECU, if it were me personally, and I dont have a lot of cash, I would either fix my car, or live with the lights, but thats my opinion.

I had an EBTCM which failed and had to be replaced out of pocket.
