Default cooling question

Hi Guys
what is the benefit of installing a fan relay switch to bring the cooling fans on quicker.
Why would'nt someone just adjust the computer?
Which is the best way to go?
Thanks Itchy,

That's the best way to go. Fan switches are not automatic and you have to turn them on and off.

I thought a fan switch was wired in to be fully automatic and adjustable?

I could be wrong but I think they are a manual operation.

True, and the cost of having a local shop program your fan temp kick on/off point is more then likely cheaper or comperable in price, but MUCH LESS fuss to deal with.

I have been running the Vinci switch for five years. Works flawlessly and you can adjust the on temp. Off temp is 6 degrees colder. Mine is set to come on at 207 degrees. Switch comes with all the electical connections and is simple to install. You can re-program, but depending on who does it you may spend more. Also, if you go to the dealer and they flash the computer, your settings are back to stock again.

So to answer your question, the Vinci fan switch is automatic, turns on both fans at the same time (low speed) and is a plug and play setup. Best way to go is up to you.
