Default Torque tube question

I am repairing a damaged 01 z06 that was hit in the right rear. The driveline was pushed over enough to break the slave cylinder and bellhousing. My big question is... the splined shaft on the end of the torque tube seems to be ever so slightly bent. This would make sense to me, being that the slave and bell housing were broken. However, I have been told that if the tube is not cracked or the shaft loose(which it is not) I should be OK. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Steve

If the shaft is bent then it needs to be replaced, otherwise you will get a lot of vibration in the drivline. Mount a dial indicator to the tube and check the run-out on the shaft. That will tell you if it is bent. It takes a lot of force to break the bellhousing.

Not too hijack, but the driveline vibration you speak of if the tube is bent. Would it be a constant vibration or come & go ??
