For my 99 WS6 you would buy LT's in either an off road version which had no emmissions connections, or the emmissions version (not talking about cats, talking about the LT's themselves) which had the connection for the AIR/EGR equipment.
Is this the same for 01-04 C5's? Looking at the LG wesbite and it looks like the LG Pro's are the off road version with no emmissions hookups while the Street series look to have the emissions hook ups.
The LG Pros are the top of the line LTs with a more sophisticated merge collector design and 3" pipes. The Streets are a more affordable version with a more common collector design and 2.5" exhaust. Both are standard with air tubes. Last I knew you could buy either w/o the tube connections if desired.
The air injection doesn't affect performance since it is on for only a few minutes after initial engine start. The down side to the tube fittings is that cars that are raced hard and see high rpms alot have had the tube fitting fail at the connection to the header, leaving a 1/2 " open hole in the hdr that has to be repaired by welding. Unless you plan to do a lot of HPDEs I wouldn't be concerned.
I've had my LG Pros on for over 2 yrs w/air tubes and no probs.
Also, if I remember right, there was a change in the air tube geometry in 2001 and later.

Depending on where you live, it will ensure you pass your local visual inspection at emissions testing time. Some locales are very strict about this and others aren't.
The electric air pump on the C5s only operates for a few minutes at start-up during open loop operation, and then shuts down when the system goes into closed loop. If I recall correctly, the system helps get the cats and/or O2 sensors up to temp faster. There isn't any real negative performance impact, so I would recommend leaving the A.I.R. system intact on street driven cars.
