If so to check the fluid in the dif. look at the rear of it and you'll see a allen head plug on the right side about middle way up from the bottom of it. Screw it out and the fluid level should be level with that plug.
I went ahead and ordered some of the recommended Amsoil, as well as some amsoil ATF for the tranny (it is kinda notchy). Does the rear diff have a drain plug like the tranny or do I need to remove the cover?
The differential has a drain plug that faces the asphalt (faces straight down) and requires the same size allen wrench as the fill plug. Excellent for draining. Just did mine today.
