As the warranty on my 04 comes closer to expiring - I thought it would be a good time to create a post for any C5 owners to share any problems they have had. At this point I only have 13K miles on mine and my warranty will expire in 6 months. Thanks for any suggestions.....

My 04 had the rear end cover leak at 12000 miles. No other problems. I took a two year GMPP for $600. After that I'm getting a two post and a repair manual.
I also have a 2004 with 17000 miles. I had a rearend leak at about 5000 miles not the standard side seal but the seal between the rearend and the tranny dealer fixed it. Right know I have what appears to be a tranny pan gasket leaking. I also get a code thrown periodically having to do with one of the air conditioner vents always a history code and I don't notice any thin wrong with the system. I have 6 mos left on the warranty also.
I have a 2004 with 35,700 miles.
The right front hub assembly was replace under warranty at about 20,000 miles. The brakes are starting to pulse but I plan on getting new rotors and pads in the spring. Other than that, the car has been great.
3 owner of an 04 bought at 11,500, now has 24,500. the repair by the dealer prior to purchase replaced the left side gas tank. a few thousand miles after purchase, got the "warnig" message. called up dealer told me to get right down. turns out its the right side gas tank leak, you could smell gas for about 2000 miles, I couldn't figure. a few thousand miles later got the rear end leak like was posted earlier, all fixed under warranty, im glad I bought the extended warranty
