Default Hurricane Intake Question

Could anyone tell me how they hooked up the small breather element that comes with the Hurricane intake kit? Can anyone explain how the PCV system on the C5 works? I'm used to seeing the PCV on the valve cover and hooked up to either the manifold or carburetor base. I'm not sure why the PCV tubing goes to the air breather.

Thanks,

The PCV tubing should go to the throttle body, passenger side. At least that is how it is connected on my 02. PCV should have a filtered inlet side (throttle body) and a side that draws from the engine. On the C5, they pull the crankcase vapors from both valve covers (on driver's side it is at the extreme rear and hard to see) through the PCV valve that is in the line just before the connection to the intake just behind the throttle body on the passenger side.

Appreciate you explanation. Just to make sure I understand, the routing for the PCV system goes like this. From the air breather to the throttle body. From each PCV valve on the valve covers to the intake manifold just behind the throttle body. I'm assuming that there is a reason for the PCV system being set up this way.

Thanks,

No, should be from the throttle body (side port) to the valve cover (front passenger) through the block out the valve covers (both sides) and into the intake.

Thanks,

I took off the elbow and put the beather element on the end of the straight section of hose going down to the air pump.

I put it in the end of the hose that came off the stock filter box. It just lays down by the hurricane shroud. No problem for 2 years.
