Default HELP Electrical again !!!

My car is throwing all sorts of codes. I tracked it down to the door harness that goes from the drivers door through the rubber into the side of the cabin by the hood release. After I push the rubber a few times it all works again, and I can reste the codes. I took the rubber off and it looks ok, no stripped wires, so what is the deal.

very comon on older GMs the break is in the copper wire not the outer coating. feel each wire the one that bends easy is the bad one others will follow

Sounds like the problem may be the connector inside the rubber accordion part between the door and pillar post. There is a plug just inside the pillar post on the inside of the rubber accordion. You can access this from inside the car but you have to remove the lower dash panels and maybe the rocker cover kick panel, you don't have to remove the front fender. That plug is very common to give problems. It is very common for this plug to corrode and cause problems. The purpose of the plug is to allow the door to be removed from the car, but its placement often allows water to get in the plug.
