Default this *barely* qualifies as a tech question...

So I'm picking up my "new-to-me" 2000 FRC on Thursday and I have a question for you guys. This is going to seem like a dumb question, I'm sure...

Is it possible to fit a "carry-on" sized suitcase in the trunk of this car? I know the FRCs have a very small trunk. I'm flying out of state to pick up the car and I'm planning to bring a small duffel-bag, to be safe. However, a friend of mine is meeting me and I'm curious if I need to caution him about the size of his luggage. If he brings a carry-on suitcase and I bring a duffle, will we be ok? If the answer is yes, if he also brought a suit-carrier, would we still be ok?

Thanks guys! -Bruce

I have the largest carry-on that you can stuff in the over-head bin on an airplane and it does fit in the trunk of the FRC, even with my small sub installed.

You'll be fine. It's small but not that small. Enjoy!

Thanks for the quick reply - Would you be able to fit a duffel of slightly smaller dimensions next to it? Which dimension is the biggest issue? length, width, or depth of the trunk?

It's big enough for both. If I could find a tape measure I would go measure the car sitting in the garage...but I know it's big enough for a small suitcase & duffel bag.

My Vert has less room in the trunk than a FRC
It can fit two carry- on bags side by side
The largest single bag that can fit is 17 wide, 43 high and 13 deep.
Two bags can be slighly longer ( high) because the trunk extends beyond the lip ( about 4 inches on either side)... Once you get the first bag in and under the lip you can push it about 4 more inches to the right ( or left)

If it doesn't fit from the back of the car, lean the passenger side seat forward and put it in from the front. You have more room than you think. My wife fits back there fine!

You can fit at least two carry on bags in the trunk. I've had two hard-side large Samsonite cases with wheels in there along with a couple of extra tote bags and still had room in the trunk. You can get more in there than you think.

You're right, it's not a Tech question.
