What gears are in the back?
Stupid Question...is there a way to tell what gears you have without the build sheet? I have an 01 coupe with an auto and would like to know what gears are in the rear end. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe the procedure is to drive 75 in third gear (not overdrive) and divide your RPM by 1000 to come up with approximate gear ratio (i.e. 3100 or so is 3.15 r/e while 2700 or so is 2.73).

There is a tag on rear that will tell you the ratio. Get under the car and looking at the back of the rear on the passenger side it toward the top right side just above the Getrag tag.
You can also drive the car in third at 75mph and the rpms will be your rear - 2730 is a 2:73; 3150 is a 3:15, etc.
