Is there any tool to check if the push rods got bent?
I roll 2 of them together on a flat surface and don't see any bending.
Is that the only way to check them?
Thanks,
-Mike
You guys are pretty rough, did anyone say that to you the first time you opened your motor? A person puts up a post with a question and you give him crap, this is why some people only lurk and don't post And in case you didn't notice, he is also a supporting vendor to boot!!!!!
To answer the original question, if more precision is required an optical comparitor could be used.

Thanks y'all!!!!
In my first post, I forgot to state that I rolled 2 of them together on a glass surface ...
Well, let me see if I can find a optical comparitor.
I am pretty sure that they are not bent but since they are out, just wanna check to make sure 100%.

Heck the first motor I opened up, I broke it worse than it was. You have to learn somewhere.
I am hoping that JonJon was agreeing with me agreeing with wrustywrench about the sheet of glass and got the quote and the agree backwards.
What's an optical comparitor Vettenuts? Can I buy one at my local autoparts store? How does it work?
Thanks in advance.
Some machine shops may have them, it has a dial setup you put the part on and it projects a silouette on the screen. You can then use the dial indicators to make measurements against the screen. Been a long time since I have used one, but projecting the profile of the pushrod against the straight line on the screen would let you know if they are straight. This is what one looks like:
you could send them to me, I have one at work,,,will check them and send them back....if ya want..pm me
