Here are some pictures of Corvette Enhancements rear black panel, it was a simple installation and extremely nice fitment. Thank you Richard for a cool product.

The panel looks great in the photos. Is there an edge or space that will be a problem when you wax around the edge of the panel.
Thanks

Carol & Lee,

There is an edge, for waxing it should be no different that any other seam or edge found many other places on the car. It is a really OEM looking part.

Is that from a forum sponsor? I looked thru the list but didnt see Corvette Enhancements listed. Does it use 2 sided tape and will it work with a quad tip exhaust? Oh yeah, looks really nice

Thanks all for the compliments.

SR-71,
The Corvette Enhancement black panel should work with any tip combination, the splitter I made myself for my two tip arrangement.

Garrett FRC,
Rears are Nitto 555 R2s 305-35-18

Hey Grant, here's the announcement ... now I'm hijacking the thread big-time.

This light-weight (1.5 lbs) self-adhesive overlay is made of .100 ABS plastic that's lightly textured to offer a first class satin-gloss finish. The appearance of this product is far beyond any other black-out fascia options available. It truly looks as though it belongs, and was originally manufactured on the C5 Corvette.

The installation procedure could not be made easier! Simply remove the backing of the double-sided foam tape, pick up the unit by inserting fingers into the louvers, line it up with your existing louvers and press it on! It's that easy. Installation including preparation shouldn't take more than 10 to 15 minutes. Installation instructions with photos are provided.

This product was developed for those of us that want the blacked out lower fascia, but don't want to actually paint the area. This will eliminate the need to search for a qualified painter, as well as eliminating the risk of over spray in undesired areas. It also eliminates to need the repaint the entire fascia should you ever choose to do away with the blacked out area. Best of all, it offers your Vette the much richer look that it deserves!

Our mounting procedure allows this mod to later be removed, resold, and reused in the event of trade-in, etc. Due to the 1/32" foam tape, there will be no chaffing caused to the paint under our overlay. Being that this ABS product is less than 1/8" thick, it will not be affected by exhaust heat (providing your tips are mounted correctly and not touching your fascia).

Our mold was formed by using a new OEM mounted rear fascia for measurements. Being that the body panels and their mounting on our C5's are not precision, we have found that no two rear fascias and their mounting are exactly alike. Aging, weathering and heat exposure has also taken it's toll in slight to extreme alteration of our fascias original shape. Therefore our overlay could not be formed to make an exact molded fit on all C5's. However, regardless of whether it’s an exact flush fit or not, the ABS plastic is flexible enough to further form to your existing fascia. We have fitted this product on several C5's and found it to fit even those with warped vent louvers. If you have severely warped vent louvers, this would probably be the best time to correct them with the bumper reinforcements available from the various supporting vendors on the forum. If for any reason you find that this product cannot be fitted to your satisfaction, your purchase price will be refunded, minus shipping costs, providing that you notify us within 7-days of receipt.

We're honored to offer this product to our CF friends and customers first. So much so, that we're offering it to "CF Members only", at $100.00 off retail throughout September. Retail price on this product is $429.95. Your price throughout the entire month of September has been reduced to $329.95 plus shipping. Sales tax will apply to CA residents. This special pricing ends Midnight, September 30th 2006.

First shipments are to ship out on September 1st 2006. We are accepting pre-orders prior to this date. However, you will not be billed any sooner than the day prior to shipment. Shipments will be sent out by UPS Ground Service. Shipping cost will range from $20.00 to $40.00 based on your proximity to California. If you ask for an exact shipping quote, please include your City Name, Zip Code, and whether your address is Residential or Commercial. If you can have this item shipped to a commercial address, you'll save a few $$$. You can place your order by PM, Email, Phone or Posting to this thread. We accept Visa, Master Card and PayPal to best accommodate you.

Corvette Enhancements became a Supporting Vendor on the Corvette Forum as of 1/1/06. Since this time we have established a well respected name for the customer service & customer satisfaction that we provide. Your satisfaction with our products and services will always be our first priority.

Holy Jump for Jesus

I would be interested if it where in the $150 to $200 range. Since it is not, I will be trying the paint approach where shortly.

You said you made the splitter yourself!?! Do you have a write up or photos? I have the two tip exhaust and was hesitating on the overlay because it didn't fill the "big hole" between the tips. Great look and job putting it all together!!!

I agree. My thoughts exactly. When I make up my mind as to when, I'm planning on going with a satin black paint job.
