Now lets start with the basics.

What are/is:

Your priority list for what you would like help on first
The compression test results
Cylinder leakdown
Fuel injector leakage
plug age
fuel filter change

So if someone is to be helpful giving specific details would be a suggested method to get technical assistance. Otherwise given the issues you have I would recommend that if you don't have detail technical anlysis of the system, to sell the car as the ebay post listed.

Best of luck in your process. 99 Nassau Blue

I was also very disillusioned soon after buying my 02 Z06, but it seems that most of the problems that I have run into are common for vettes. Some of these have been cheap DIY fixes, and others may prove to be expensive repairs down at the dealer. But all in all the level of performance you get for the price is unbeatable...

Headlight ratcheting when closed - fixed for $50 and an hours worth of my time installing the brass gear.

Popping from rear axle - fixed with some penetrating fluid and a half hours time.

Oil consumption - gone through a little over a quart in less than 3k, gonna have to live with this one or never drive hard (I plan to keep some spare oil in the trunk, why buy a vette and never get on it?)

Rocking seat - cheap fix but a PITA, that will get addressed later.

Column Lock - installing the bypass for $50 before that one can bite me

C1214 H C - This one worries me, and am doing all the at home troubleshooting possible. Most I likely will end up at the dealer for a new EBCM - at the cost of around $1200. Being in a place that can rain for 3 months straight and every road is on a hill, with a car that has 405HP and no TCS is interesting.

143,000 miles on mine.
I've had my share of the usual problems, but I would leave tomorrow to go cross country If I could

Besides the engine power, I cant think of one good reason not to turn it into a race / track car.

This is why my 98 Camaro SS is my daily and my 99 FRC is my weekend warrior.

Camaro == 90k miles, original everything except brakes, tires, fluids, etc.. No problems other than the AC pulley making some noise at idle if the AC isn't on.

Corvette == 26k miles, water leaks on both sides after multiple attempts to fix, random stuttering problem, brakes are still soft even after hundreds of dollars of work completely redoing the braking system (down to the master) and a dozen fluid flushes, etc etc on and on. Nothing serious but pain in the *** frustrating stuff that takes forever to track down.

Oh well, each has their own purpose. I didn't buy my vette expecting it to be practical

parking brake doesn't work - how many time have you lubricated or maintained that assembly?

right rear clanking sound - probably whats left of your parking brake...see above

right turn signal doesn't work - so what have you done 80% of the time to find the problem?

tire sensors don't work - have you ever changed the batteries? They don't last forever.

Key FOB doesn't work - have you changed the battery on that? If you have, did you re-sync?

Front end beat up - not sure why you listed that one, can't blame that on anyone else.

Anyway you slice it, you've got a car with 148K on it that is now in need of attention.
I don't see what the problem is, comes with the mileage and the territory.
Maybe you should drive a Toyota?

I don't know the guy, but for the couple of year's I've been reading posts, EG has had a whole range of problems. Although it's difficult to separate out the real mechanical failures from the driver-induced failures. I don't think your's are too bad. But this thread in general will scare people...
