Unless you have really huge forearms you can access to bulbs from the headlight area.
Turn on the headlights so the open, then turn off the HL but keep the parking lights on (that will leave the HLs open). Or if you want you can just hand crank the HL to the open position. Open the hood, Remove the HL plastic surround, (4 small screws). You should be able to reach down from the inboard side of the HL with one hand and grab to bulb socket. The sig light bulb faces upward, turn socket cc about quarter of a turn to release it, may have to fiddle with it a little to get it loose. There's enough cable to pull the socket up where you can see what you're doing and replace the bulb. I just did my right front turn sig bulb, took about 30 min.

Good luck.
And I'll add there's only 3 screws to remove the bezel and like HRDTOPC54FUN said if you manually open the headlamp the DRLs won't be on and I've also found for the most space to get your arm down in there the headlamp doesn't have to be fully up (opened).
The Shop Manual way is to jack up the car (slightly) and remove 4 or 5 screws on panel under car, move brake duct and replace bulb. I have done it several times, it is not too bad.
I've done it both ways and the top-down procedure was quicker for me, since my arms are small enough to reach in from the top. I also removed the hood stop and that made it a little easier.
Make sure you clean the socket with a good cleaner (See last few posts in sticky electrical thread above). I also wore a leather glove, just in case the bulb decided to break while I was putting it back in the socket.
It could have been made eaiser by the knuckle heads at GM two screws to remove the freaking light out the front would have been great. The things they should engineer better they don't and the simple they make complex. Putting the oil pressure sensor under the intake was a real "F" up.

Makes sense.....Take the bulbs that burn all the time and make them the hardest to change...
I also agree you should not have to pull the intake to replace a cheap oil pressure sensor.
