Hey guys, i had my car completely tuned, 3 weeks later my check engine light comes on, i am getting codes for misfire, maf performance, iat sensor high voltage.
when i reset the codes, the car idles funny like the maf isnt working, and will not drive correctly until the check engine light comes on, once it comes on, the car runs and idles and drives fine.
I checked the maf sensor, it is fine, the ohm reader is showing voltage to the maf sensor.
does anyone think the tuning is the problem why my computer wont read my maf sensor? and thats why its misfiring?
My mechanic seems to think its the tuning, and the tuner wont call em back. anyone experienced this problem
1997 corvette C5 143,000 miles g5x3 cam, jba headers, ls6 intake manifold, 78mm throttle body, injectors, jba headers, Ud pulley, vararam intake, slightly ported heads are the mods.
Sounds like the tune. Was the MAF re-calibrated? Did they do a "street" tune? My tuner spent about three hours out on the road recording data and modifying the tune for normal driving, then we hit the dyno. How does this relate your what your tuner has done? You shouldn't have the misfire or the MAF codes from the cam if the tune was correctly done.
I see you are in San Diego, you may want to call A&A even though they are kind of far away.
