Yep the Z06 has metal bushings if my memory serves me correctly and the box is stronger.
That is the only difference I know of... metal bushings instead of rubber ones where the shifter housing mounts to the tunnel.
Other than that:

Shorter throws (not as short as the shortest aftermarket throws, but for me, a nice balance between short throw and too-high lever effort), factory sound (lack of rattles) and factory shift feel (some like it, some prefer the crisper aftermarket shifter feel). The C6 shift **** feels better in my hand than the stock C5's, too. Price is right ($180?? from Fred Beans).
Obviously, I'm *real* happy with mine. FWIW, one of the reasons it works so well for me is that I also did the "shift bolt mod" to the tranny to further reduce the resistance felt when moving through the "gates" between gears.

Very Good review and right on with my experience but what is this "shift boot mod" you speak of?
