Does anyone know where I can find dyno comparisons of a stock LS1 base run, swap out for the LS6 manifold and do nothing else and then do another dyno pull? I can find tests where three or four things are changed at the same time and all that does is confuse me trying to figure whether it's the manifold, the magnets on the fuel line, the turbulator in the intake bridge that increases horsepower by mixing up the air or the flow straightener in front of the throttlebody that increases horsepower by smoothing out the air flow, all of which add anywhere from 4 to 15 hp each according to the manufacturers.
Oh, and did I mention they increase fuel economy? I put a few more of these things on my car, that sucker's gonna be MAKING gasoline.
I believe that starting in 2001, the C5 coupes and verts came equipped with the LS6 intake and block. From 2000, HP was up 5 and torque, 25 lbs-ft (MN6). A bigger gain comes from a cold air intake. I gained 13 RWHP with just an intake and cat-backs. Cat-backs don't contribute much HP, but they sound great AND are less filling (weigh less).
