Remote Radar detector Mounting??
My C5 came with a K 40 unit which seems to be top notch but has a sensor mounted on the front license plate that resembles and ez pass unit. Can it be mounted elsewhere? Thanks

I had one a while back but that was before front and rear detection was introduced. I don't see how it will pick up any signals from behind. I did like it but you also could not move it from one car to another. When I traded the car in I left it because it would have been a PITA to remove.

I'm not familiar with what the K40 radar sensors look like, but I have the same EZ Pass looking thing on my front plate and that's the K40 laser jammer - not a sensor for the radar detector. I think that's the only place it can go. You should also have a single small round red light mounted somewhere in the cabin and perhaps a small speaker mounted behind one of your vents. These are the alerts for the jammer.

Thanks, I think your right it may be a laser diffuser. I would like to get it off the plate though. Maybe I will experiment in the future with it. Hope to get more responses perhaps from an installer.
