Default Leaking Rear End

Hey Guys...It seems to me like I read in the past about a problem with the rear ends leaking fluid in the C-5s. I have a '99 Model, 6 speed with about 38K miles on it, I have noticed a rather significant leak coming from the rear axle. Could any of you enlighten me about the possible causes of this and an estimated cost of repair? Thanks very much for any information you can send my way!

Try a search, but mine needed a left side half shaft seal and differential cover seal. The $tealership charged me just shy of 900.00. Ouch!

If your lucky it will just be the half shaft seal. You should be able to find a DIY guide on this. I believe the seal is about 20.00.
