After sitting for a bit and the battery dying, I recently started my 2000 C5 and noticed that the blower motor was not working. Cool air can be felt coming out of the vents, but not blowing out. I checked the fuse #51, but it seemed ok. It was a bit discolored, but intact. Is there a relay somewhere on the car that I should check. If so, can you tell me exactly where. I only have 26,000 miles on the car and usually have the top down so never use the a/c, so it could have been out before the battery died. Any help you can give me on this I would appreciate. You guys are great and have helped me out before by just reading your posts.
If you have AUTOMATIC A/C it might be the blower motor control module which is right next to the blower motor under the dash on the passanger side. If you have MANUAL A/C there is a resistor board which works like the module and is a helluva lot cheaper to replace.
Can get the blower moter out and check to see if it WORKS by running 12 volts right to its terminals. There's a 30 Amp maxifuse for the AUTOMATIC A/C in the fuse box inside the car under the carpet under the blower motor.
