Default Whats the "diff"?
What is the difference, if any, between a 3.15, 3.42, or z06 3.42 diff carrier? I am only interested in the difference between the housing for each, not the internals. Also, did GM improve this housing over the years? If so how would you tell one from the next, which tag number would indicate this?

I "think" there was a change in the case in 04, but have only seen this mentioned on the DTE web site. I am sure Phil at DTE can answer this.
