Default end link

I am ready to install Bilstien sport shocks and Hotchis sway bars on my '01 vert. Hotchkis's web site included a caution that their end links might make noise and if that was a problem you could upgrade to Z06 end links. I have been to 4 dealers and they all tell me that the standard C5 and the Z06 use the same end links. Can anyone verify that? I'm struggling with why Hotchkis would tell you to upgrade to Z06 links if they were the same that you had on your C5 to start with. Help please!

The Z06 metal endlinks were not on the C5 Coupe or Vert until 2002 (both front and rear). Prior to that they were plastic and you will want to upgrade those.

I'm pretty sure GM only sells the metal end links now. If you buy a replacement for an early model you will still get the new metal end link.

Talk to Gene at Fred Beans... He knew right away what endlinks I needed. I believe he's a supporting vendor of the corvetteforum.

Thanks all for your responses. It all makes sense now between Chevy's response and Hotchkis's suggestion. I will get the new metal end links.

That's what I did, work great. I bought 2004 C5 Z06 end links. Beans had the best price.
