More AC Poblems.....

More AC problems….Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a ’99 with the Automatic duel temperature control. When the system is in the Auto mode it blows either hot or full hot. If I lower the temperature control to 60 degrees (which is a system over ride) the system blows very cold. I went through the System check out procedure in the GM Service manual and all of the directional control actuators seem to work. There are no HVAC DTC codes set. Several people on the Forum said that they had similar symptoms and that changing out the head unit fixed the problem….I just change out the head unit and I still have the same issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion -- Check the inside temp sensor and wires/connection. It's on the panel just forward of where your right knee would be when you're sitting in the driver's seat. Maybe ??

Mine does that too on my 99, but I'm too cheap to change out the hvac controller. Bill Curlee is quite knowledgeable in this area, perhaps a pm to him might help.

See if you have vacuum at the line coming in from the firewall. Mine didnt then look for battery acid threads including mine to fix the melted vacuum lines
