Default Column Lock Question

Will the supplied lighter plug adapter be needed if the column has not locked. I just want to install the bypass before my column locks.

Yes, you have to use the supplied lighter plug adapter to force the electronics to unlock the column while the car is not running in order to have the bypass unit maintain this unlocked position once the install is complete.
Just follow the instructions supplied with the CL Bypass Kit and all will be well for you...

two things that may be helpfull.. tin the ends of the adaptor.. so you have no frayed wires/// plug the two wires into the socket before you plug in the adaptor plug.. if you touch these wire together you will blow a fuse.. soon as the column unlocks, remove the adaptor plug
