need help-electrical
just got back from LA and car ran great on the way up (from Phoenix). A nice spirited run- averaged 25.8 mpg at about avg speed of 80+; however, when I got ready to leave, it would not turnover after sitting for a couple of days. had to get a jump which even took awhile. The battery is new, less than a week old, which replaced the prior one that was just over a year old. also changed out the starter about a month ago. I assume it is now alternator?? When its running the volts are good (13.6-13.9). I do not know how to test the alt. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

initial start-up of the day, the volts read good (13.9-14.1), while driving, they decrease (to approx. 13.2-13.5). 2nd start-up, after sitting for approx 9 hrs, volts are 13.2 and range 12.9-13.3 while driving. What do you think??

only after market equip is a sirius system; i don't drive it as a daily driver but when i do it is in work travel stop and go. no difference when using a/c which is pretty much all the time here in metro phoenix,az
