I've been running the LS7 clutch with 460 RWHP and it's been great. We're building a 402 now and I don't think the LS7 clutch will last very long in that. I looked around and decided on the new RAM Street Dual. I think it will be the last clutch I ever have to buy,
Yes, you have the top one. That is the one that Hilton took pics of. That is from the same place you purchased yours.
Yeah, I see now that the tex has the rivets gone both ways. That is different. The basket looks the same though if you flip it over. The top pic is on the back side and the bottom one is from the front.
So yep, you would be right they are two different clutches but for less than 400 with a lighter flywheel I am extremely happy.

LS7 was great when I had 440rwhp but as soon as I put the 402 in I had trouble with the LS7 not engaging immediatly on the shifts under WOT at the track and DR....Street was fine.
I just replaced it with a Textralia and its an awsome piece!!! Takes a beating at the track and not a sign of slip. Also the LS7 was 14.5 heavier than the tex....car feels a lot better!
I like my dual disc mcleod yea sure its overkill, but i know it wont slip and it will last foreveeeeeeerrrrr. Still getting used to the mcleod adjustable master. might go back to a stocker.
So far I love the feel of my Cartek clutch. It's the only one on the market that addresses the problem that the fluid overheats easily. Cartek modifies the master cylinder to move more fluid and thus make it more heat resistant. I shipped them my slave and they sent me a clutch system fully filled and bled with high temp fluid for $629 (after mc core charge refunded). I used my stock flywheel which is more durable than most aftermarket flywheels.
OK guys lots of recommendations....so is the pressure plate that I have is not up to speed or is it the disk? Again for those just looking at the thread I have a brand new factor LUKs clutch in newly Procharged car and it is slipping.
Can I just install a textrellia disk or clone and be ok to go or do I need a new pressure plate too?
