While I had the vette in to have the driver's side axle leak repaired, I had them change the original coolant. Since I picked it up it's been squeeling in the area of the belts. What's causing this? Could it be they just got some coolant on the new belts? Any ideas, should I just spray some belt dressing on? I normally hate belt dressing, it tends to make a mess of the engine area.
The GM chassis service manual actually says not to use belt dressing on serpentine belts. It can deteriorate the belts.
If it is coolant, it is water soluble. I would just was the belts with water and dry them off, then see if the noise is still there.
Hopefully, the noise is just the belts, and not something they did to make the water pump go out.

What could they do that would make the water pump go out? I did try hosing the belts off, the quieted down until the water dried now the squeek is back.

If the noise went away when you put water on the belts, then the noise is coming from the belts and not the water pump.
When you first wrote the note, I did not know if you knew for sure the noise was coming from the belts and not from the water pump. I was thinking that if they started the engine before they got enough coolant in it, the seal might have run dry for awhile and caused it to start leaking. You might want to check the pump weep hole and make sure there is no coolant leaking from it.
