Horn question-electrical
Hope some one can help here. Had a H/C pkg. done a while back and have a couple of problems. The one I can't figure out is the horn works with the alarm and door lock functions, but won't work by pushing the steering wheel pad. All fuses are good-or look good anyway. All suggestions appreciated.

The horn buttons run through the air bag controller, so I'd check the codes on the DIC, first.
Second, even though it doesn't seem reasonable, check the horn relay, esp. if you have an aftermarket alarm installed.

My steering wheel horn button stopped working a couple of years ago. When the dealership was fixing the diff gasket leak, I asked them to check it out, thinking it would require a steering wheel removal and my GMPP warranty would cover it.
Nope, it was a ground wire that was loose. I wish I kew exactly where it is, but I didn't see the tech tighten it.
