hey guys just wondering i installed the borla straight pipes and now my car seems to be eating gas..is it just my right foot plowing it to it more? or does changing exhaust result in worse gas mileage?? thanks!!!
ANy time you change intake or exhaust you should have it tuned. The car may be adding fuel because it thinks a lean condition exist. You say straight pipes....if you eliminated the O2's it could default to open-loop and run rich. A tune can fix it or O2 sims can also.
no its just from the x-pipe back..the borla straight pipe exhaust..stock cats and o2's are still there. do i really need a tune just for a simple exhaust? damnit.lol anybody else?
ive had the straight pipes on since...April...at first gas was just disappearing!! so i had to ease off the noise-maker!!!....but yea, the power and sound are the temptations for bad gas mileage....GOOD LUCK!!!
