Default Head Selection

Rate your head selection for a street head/cam/header swap.

I'm assuming AFR's are the best, how do the others compare?

For a street head, I would look for smaller port volume and good flow. Some of the ported heads have really big ports, but also big flow numbers.

My Z06 is getting a H/C package right now. I got a set of Trick Flow heads with a strong recommendation from people that know LS Motors. I got the 205 cc chambers

You may want to look into Cartek's ported 3x heads. Some of the cars are making north of 470 HP when combined with the 3x cam.

I didn't think the TFS heads were that small, I thought their smallest intake volume was the 215?

Smallest TFS makes is 215. Did you get the TEA worked heads?? Those are nice. A LOT of potential.

Is there a price difference between the AFR heads and the Trick Flow?

I've been searching around about heads, it seems alot of people like the ported LS6 heads. Sounds like they are very streetable.

everybody likes thier heads best - do a search there's a ton of info out there, then decide for yourself. That's what I did and I ended up with AFR because I thought they were the best - but I could be wrong.
