Default fast 78mm setup or 90mm setup Hp increase?

guys, how much will the 78mm fast w/ 78mm throttle body differ from the 90/90 ls2 TB?

I have g5x3 cam setup, patriot perf stage 2 heads, un pulley, vararam intake, ud pulley, injectors.

will it really make that much of a difference to pay the $300 for the upgrade or should i stick with 78mm TB /78mm fast?

Depends on how much you are willing to pay for the extra few hp. I have spent a lot of time looking into this, and what I found was the ported version will provide the best hp all the way up the curve with no loss down low, as a matter of fact it will even gain down low. The only person who I have seen that can pull this off is Tony Mamo. His porting would likely get you at least 20 hp with your setup. The issue I have seen is where to plug in the PCV system fresh air, which the LS2 throttle body eliminates.

Don't waste your time on the 78...buy the 90mm LSX.

20 hp gain over an LS6 - if I remember correctly.

Plug the PCV into the side of the bellows (get a longer hose and rubber grommet with plastic canula/attachment at any parts store..Pep boys etc.)

There are others like Ron at Vengance Racing. They have been getting awsome numbers from their ported intakes.

A little light reading.
