Default Pull Key And Please Help

Yes I read everything on the topic so please don’t send any nasty comments.

I bought a pristine 2002 convertible 6 speed 1 month ago with 9300 miles on it. The recall service was never done and the guy drove around with the column Service Steering Column Lock message for several years. He never had a problem. As soon as I got the car I brought it to my local dealer and did a full service with the recall. I had knee surgery and could not drive the car for three weeks, but started it several times without difficulty or concern. Now I have begun to drive and in the morning on two successive occasions I received the Pull Key and Wait 10 Seconds message which resolved completely after complying with the command.

What is the right thing to do at this point? Go back to dealer? Install a CLB? Comply with the command each time and not to worry because 2002 seem to be less affected. Sixteen years of higher education and a busy surgeon and this is what I worry about.

Could someone give a straight answer?

I had the service bulletins and also received the pull key and wait...

Get the CLB from COH!

I had both knees done last year at this time, three weeks apart..how are you making out?
