Anyone out their heard of Polyurethane Drive Shaft Couplings ? I know the rubber ones go out and the aluminum ones can be a little abrasive for daily driving, so I'm looking to see if theirs any type of middle road solution. I know the rubber ones have steel belts so some type of hybrid I'm guessing. if you have a link or info let me know. If it's simply not feasible and nothing exists hey your saving me the time and effort. either way thanks.
cool guy's thanks for the input. I'll start looking for those now. If not at least I have someone who has the aluminum one w/o issues on the street. So just to recap, you don't get any more road or engine vibration from the DS mounted to the aluminum over the rubber? and I presume the aluminum is much more resilliant then the OEM one correct?
anyone please feel free to chime in with an answer please.
thanks again guy's & gals...

I just bought two alumin ones from LG. I'll let you know how things worked out next week.
I run the LGM aluminum couplers and they are not too harsh for daily driving.
I think it is VB&P that make the urethane couplers - I found them on Google about a year ago. Search there and see.
Good luck

EG.... as you know... I am having my clutch replaced shortly.. I am doing the hardened output shaft while Roger is in there...
Do you recommend I look at swapping these to aluminum while everything is ripped apart? Last think I want to do is get it all together.. Go to the track, hook hard and destroy the TT bushing..
I just picked up some from Greg for my low powered cars..........
but...........for my 97', this is going back in to handle upcoming power mods
I am NOT touching my torque tube again
Lamar Walden makes a coupling from a high density urethane. It is much more rigid than the stock subber but stills allows for some flex. I am running them on my car and get no drivtrain vibration. That is what concerned me with the aluminum couplers. There is nothing to dampen vibration so it will all get transmitted into the clutch and into the cockpit. I think LG even recommends runnign 1 aluminum coupler and 1 rubber coupler to dampen vibration.
