FACTS ONLY Shifter Comparison
Guys:
I have been meaning to do this for a while. I hear people compare shifters a million times but I am still unsure which direction to go. Posts get to subjective and its confusing.
What I want to get is "side on" comparison pictures of all stock (C5/C6/C6Z) and aftermartket shifters (Hurst/Mallet/B&N/ etc...etc...) out there installed on a "C5". I do not want any subjective information in this post. ONLY Facts with pictures like I have shown below to get the post started.
Post the following information:
1.) Shifter Brand
2.) Shifter modified from the way you bought it ?
3.) Picture of all 3 shifter positions (3rd/Neutral/4th)(If you have Dig camera)
4.) Height of shifter in neutral
5.) Distance from 3rd to 4th (total shifter throw)(try to measure from the center of your shifter **** to estimate where your shifter "stick" is located.)
Please do not respond without the following information so this post stays clean and factual...
Thanks guys !
Toque

the longer the leaver arm ( shift leaver) the easer it is too shift.
That being said. I took a stock shifter out of a 99, cut the shaft down 1" and threaded it. took out the plastic bushings, but in polyurathain and packed in high temp grease, then put it back in.

Guys
Is nobody interested in putting the numbers together for different shifters? (except chris.shea / chuckster) I guess people like responding to shifter polls every day then ?.... I guess I'm confused why people complain about shifter polls then ?
If we could get participation in this topic its something we could refer to when people ask about different shifters.
im curious as to what the c6 shifters are like. everyone gives them such praise i just dont get it shifter travel is going to come down to one main thing and thats how high on the stick the shifter pivots.(seesaw action)

This is essentially a stock shifter that has had the stock handle and **** replaced with a billet aluminum shift handle and ****.
