Default Emergency!!! Stripped Rocker Stud Help????

I am helping a forum member with a cam swap. The stud on of of the rockers for the #7 Cylinder is stripped. The threads are not stripped in the head. The top of the stud that takes an 8mm socket is rounded off. It was rounded off before we even tried taking it out. Came that way I guess. Any ideas on how to get the stud out? Of course it was the last we needed to remove.

The material is hardened. We tried to get a 7.5mm socket on it. No luck.

Post if you want my cell# or PM a number to call if you want.

Weld a wrench to it.

Check with most any large auto parts store or maybe even Harbor Freight for a tool that is designed just for this application. I has a serrated cam that bites into the stud as the wrench is turned and is good enough to remove pressed in studs as well. I have no idea what they sell for now but I bought one for about $15 maybe 20 years ago. It probably isn't cheap, but it's less than the alternative.

Had you already bought one or did you go out, get one after I sent the message and pull the stud? If the latter, Sears is either really close or you made a quick trip.

I will assume we are dealing w/ OEM GM rockers? that's a bolt, not a stud; the items mentioned above from Sears do work well
