Default Steering wheel adjustment.

Does anybody here have any experience with adjusting the steering? My steering wheel is cocked ever so slightly to the left. It's pretty minor, but it's just enough to drive me nuts(because I'm a perfectionist). If any body has good instructions I'd appreciate it, because I'd like to handle this on my own if possible.

P.S. The car does not pull either way and the balance seems perfect.

Thanks in advance.

Probably when the toe was set the wheel was a little off center. If the tech wasn't in the car when adjusting the wheel (most likely) he probably didn't notice it wasn't quite straight. This seems to be quite common and I notice it is almost always to the left and not the right. To adjust it you need to center the wheel and then measure the toe and readjust the front tie rods. If you do this yourself you will need to make some tools to measure the toe and you will need to have a way to raise the car to adjust the tie rods. Once the car is raised and adjustments made you will need to drive around a little to settle the suspension and then recenter the wheel and re-measure the toe. I am leaving out a little on how to do all of this but can be described if you want to proceed. If the car is driving OK its really not worth monkeying with this. Remember the old adage, If it Ain't broke don't Fix it.

If you want to keep your car 'perfect' then just have your vehicle re-aligned. Remember though the corvette can not be aligned at any ol' tire shop since it requires special alignment machine (the low stance will not climb most machines) which your local dealer usually has it. Be ready to shell out some perfect cash.
