Tachyon usually knows their stuff. I don't know how many Vette's they've done though.

I hope we can find somebody. The thing I dont like about dealerships is the whole service advisor thing. Just let me talk with the mechanic myself. I remember when the mechanics would walk you out and show you whats wrong.

I've had no luck finding an individual so I've used Chevy at the Avenues and Crest. No real issues and they did find and fix all my problems. That said, I do have GMPP 0 deductible and I guess I'll get my money's worth.

On a different note, has anyone found any tuners around here? Mike Norris in Orlando is the closest "name" tuner that I'm aware of.

Been looking for over a year now, it's a tuner wasteland.
Now that being said, the last guy I talked with reccommended Tony @ HP Performance 904-276-7223.
Don't know anything about him just been told he's good with F bodies and FI.

try HP Performance in Orange Park. Supposedly, they are decent. I spoke with them on the phone about dyno tuning, they seem to be very knowledgable. Let me know how it turns out if you use them. I'm plannng on using them once I get my mods done.

The trip to Orlando is worth it. Mike Norris has tuned my car 3 times from headers, to SC, to alky injection with zero problems. I would not take a chance with an unknown tuner to save a 2 hour drive.

I've used Tony, from HP Performace to work on my car before and he is a very nice guy and extremely knowlegdable(sp?).
If I ever start spraying again I'm going to let him tune my car, I think it might be running a little lean on the bottle.
If you ask any of the local racers I'm sure you'll here nothing but good things

I don't know that you need anyone special to fix a typical problem like your power steering pump---mods and tuning another story I find it interesting all the names we have come up with here and look forward to meeting some of these guys===I bought a new laptop just for hp tuner and hope to be able to keep my car running myself in time with the addition of a o2 sensor and we do have local dyno's==my car is at Nick Williams in NC right now getting the 402 we built installed, Tony Mamo of AFR was very helpful and many others I will mention after we get her running and have numbers etc, I did not know there was anyone in our area that could use ls1 edit or hp tuner that would be interesting to know.

Hey All,

Thanks for the props from those mentioning myself. I will say that I know Tony at HP pretty well and he is coming around with the LSx cars. He is using SCT as far as I know and learning as he goes along and I offered up some info to him if he needs it. Hope this helps.

HP uses Torrie's old dyno, which owns from www.fastpartsnetwork.com

Torrie had his own tuning shop, but closed it because of a bad location. He then sold the dyno to Tony at HP, but still tunes vehicles. Personally, I would have Torrie dyno tune the car on HP's dyno. Check out his website for contact info.

Thanks guys.

A friend of mine is working on my cars. He has a small shop on Roosevelt. "Bobby's Garage".

Thanks for the tuner info. I am having heads, cam, headers and rearend installed, I will be going for a Dyno Tune.

I was going to take it to Orlando to Mike Norris, however, I live in Orange Park and may try HP or Torrie in St. Augustine.
