About 4 months ago, I installed a set of LG Pro longtubes (catless) on my otherwise stock 02 Z06. After the install the headers have been wonderful for at least 1000 miles. Since the install I have moved and do not drive my vehicle nearly as often, as I can now walk everywhere (My baby may sit for a week or more between drives).
In the last 2 weeks, I have noticed that my Z will not start on the first try when cold. The vehicle will immediately stall. After the stall the car will start immediately on try number 2 and be ok. When the car is warm, sometimes it will start on the first try and sometimes it will not. I know that outside temperatures have been dropping, do yall think that this a tune issue (which I am still running the stock tuning) or do yall think it might be something else (fowled spark plug, bad connection, MAF?, O2 simm, O2 sensor?, ect)?

Did you check to see if there are any codes? I doubt it's a tune problem as my car ran pretty good for the most part after my LT install with my stock tune, even in sub-freezing weather.
It's definately not a O2 sensor problem since when the car is cold they are ignored anyway. I'd lean towards a spark or fuel problem of some kind.
I checked the codes yesterday and was suprised not to see any codes. The car runs great once it gets started, right now it is just the first try that everything doesn't work properly.
How long after startup does the car ignore the o2 sensors? Does it do that at every startup or is it just cold starts?

On my car, I can listen to the AIR pump. As soon as it shuts off, the car has entered closed loop and is using the O2 sensor feedback. You really should probably get the car scanned. It will really tell you a lot about what is going on.
Check your intake from the MAF to the throttle body. Make sure it's sealed up tightly and there are no air leaks. Also, a vacuum leak could cause all sorts of cold start problems. You might want to pull your PCV valve and make sure it's not stuck open. Just some things to look at.
