Possible... my memory is fuzzy on which wires were fused near the starter, but I could have sworn it was the lead coming from the alternator and another small +12v lead, but not the big lead coming from the battery to the starter. There may be other fusible links in the harness as well, I just know about the two I saw near the starter.
Is your starter clicking and turning over but the engine not firing?
Ah-hah... well with that said, it sounds like the starter is doing its job. There are a lot of guys on here with more experience than I when it comes to motors turning over but not firing up... anything I would say at this point would just be speculation But I would feel pretty comfortable saying it's likely not the fusible links.
Where did you get power and switched 12v from for the water pump relay?
not sure where it was tapped for power as i didnt do the install. i know all of the fuses and relays in the fuse block have been replaced and still nothing.

I was hoping someone who knew more than me would chime in and solve your problem.
Just a question -- did you replace the fuses in both fuse blocks (engine and under the passenger footwell)? It definitely sounds like a grounding issue, cut wire, or blown fuse associated with your electric water pump install.
