Default Put my EBCM in today

Actually, just about 10 mins ago. VERY simple installation, all you need is a Torx 20. I unlplugged the harness out of the front, and off the bottom. Then undid the 6 six screws that hold it to the BPMV. Took a large screw driver and split the two very slowly. I found its easier to reach the screws from the passenger side, laying on top of the motor.

Put the new one on, put the 6 screws back in, started it up, and PRESTO! no more brake and traction lights! I'm VERY happy.

I bought my EBCM from Gene (KarShop) and was VERY pleased with the transaction, i requested he send it asap and to let me know the extra shipping and he got it to me in 2 days.

Whole replacement process took about 25-30 minutes. anyone can do this!

Good info. I fear I may be doing the same swap on mine in the near future.

Thanks for the headsup and information. Were you getting the ABS and TCS codes? The reason I ask is because I have been getting thses for a while. They will go away sometimes esp after I have the car jacked up doing something. Looks like I may have to be buying a new EBCM soon.

Good to hear

A "How To" with pics would probably help a lot of people out.

You might see a "How to" very soon. It seems i'm still throwing a random 1287 and a u1305!?

The "active handling" message just appears on the DIC while driving. I just got home and haven't searched those codes yet.
