NHRA & IHRI rules.
I have an 2004 C5 which ran an 11.0 at a track that isn't bad about booting you out, but I worry everytime I drive there thinking is it going to be an issue. Plus it prevents me from doing more mod's because I don't want to install a roll bar.
What are the rules?

I see you can get them with removable bars for the driver and passenger doors.
That wouldn't be so bad . . .
What do you guys think about when it comes time to sell the car and it has a roll bar?
I guess a bolt in would be the best option if acceptable.
Thanks.
As for a 5 point for a daily driver, it's not that bad. Get swingout or removeable arms and make sure the installer puts the bar at a level that is comfortable for you to put your arm over or under the bar while driving. Don't forget to pad them too. I smacked my elbow on a friend's roll bar when his car broke while he was at WOT.
Since it has to be weld in to be legal, you can cut the bar at the floor and just replace the carpet, so it's possible the new owner wouldn't even know about the roll bar.
As for the new Z, if it's BONE STOCK, there is an exemption for letting it run below 11.5. But once anything is changed, the airbox, tires, etc.. it would require all the safety equiptment mentioned above.
If you have the money and option, get chromoly. It's a little more expensive, but is lighter.
