Default Fuel Pump Question

Ok, i wanna change the pump in my car. What pump are u guys using? I am not gonna spend $300-$400 on a fuel pump. I will be using a Walbro pump like i have so many other times in the mustangs i have worked on. What modifications need to be done to the cannister to house the Walbro pump? What Walbro pump are ppl using?GSS 340,GSS340m,GSS341 or the GRJ420? Where did u buy it?Do i have to install the cannister or can i run without it? Thanks..Mike

I would not run without the bucket... it is there to prevent the pump from sucking air in low fuel conditions.

I think your best bet is to get your hands on a factory pump (either an old one from a buddy or your own) and start comparing it to other Walbros. See what you can find. The aftermarket Racetronix pump is a Walbro, so there is one out there that works and fits like OEM... I just don't know the model off the top of my head.

edit, I just noticed you have another thread going on this topic... Racetronix has told you which pump to buy. Not sure what info you are trying to get in this thread that you didn't get from that one?

I am not sure if he is saying only the GRJ 420 will fit or not. I see ppl here selling GSS340, 341,342. I just wanna make sure i get the full picture.
