Broken Trans Has Anyone Seen This Before?
If anyone else has had this problem let me know!! And what do you think caused it? The forward clutches and 3-4 clutches are held inside the (drum) the tranny had about 300 miles on it from the Hi Perf rebuild. The grove is for the steel snap ring to hold the clutches. As you can see several pieces broke off. No sure if this is just one of those things or related to increased power levels..

Hi there,
You are looking at the 'input housing and shaft assembly'.
the pieces that are broken off, it usually shows excessive stress. I would check the part inside the trans that it mates to. You may have some broken pieces there as well.
I have seen this, and there are a few causes, however, I would suspect a clearancing issue, or something along those lines.
